Sell my high-mileage Discovery: FAQs
My Discovery 3 has done 200,000 miles. Is it still worth selling?
Yes. At that mileage, condition and evidence of past repairs matter more than the number. Tell us about the engine, suspension and rust honestly.
What are the common issues you ask about at high mileage?
Air suspension leaks, crankshaft or timing belt history on the 2.7 and 3.0 diesels, gearbox shifting and rear subframe corrosion. Answers to those make the figure accurate.
Does a missing service history ruin the price?
It lowers it, but it does not stop us buying. Old invoices and MOT history can fill a lot of gaps.
